My work at UNED

Since the 1st March 2020, I work at UNED, and more particularly at the Informatics Faculty. As a biomedical engineer, I am aimed to provide artificial intelligence solutions to healthcare issues. More specifically, the idea is to work on developing machine learning projects. In this faculty they work with Natural Language Processing, so that is what i focus on. I was hired to bring the medical and sanitary point of view.

I am the only biomedical engineer in the whole faculty, so I ride alone and work on the whole project on my own. But before talking a bit more about the projects I am developing, let's take about Natural Language Processing (NLP).

NLP: what is it?

Natural language processing (NLP) is a subfield of linguistics, computer science, and artificial intelligence concerned with the interactions between computers and human language, how to program computers to process and analyze large amounts of natural language data.

Challenges in natural language processing frequently involve speech recognition, natural language understanding, and natural-language generation.
